Audrey Wilks

Audrey Maxine Wilks, 94, of Simla, Colorado passed away on December 24, 2014 at the Simla Good Samaritan Care Center. Audrey was born on December 14, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elmer and Theresa (AAmodt) Anderson one of six children. She attended and graduated from South High in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1938. Audrey married Ralph E. Wilks on November 9, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah and the couple was blessed with three daughters. She loved to sew and was a wonderful cook and baker. Audrey loved being the keeper of the home as well as her beautiful rose gardens. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilary in Utah and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Calhan, Colorado. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband; Ralph, two sisters; Ruth Davis and Blanche Creeze, and two brothers; Bryan and Carl Anderson. She is survived by her three daughters; Becky and husband Terry Hasenbalg of Simla, Colorado, Christine Lindstrom of Fruit Hights, Utah, and Laurie Heesch, husband Don of Nunn, Colorado. Audrey is also survived by her sister Elaine Uffens of Fruit Heights, Utah, 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
