Beverly Mcarthur

Beverly passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the KCC Hospital after a series of major illnesses. She was 78 years old. She was born on September 22, 1935 to Charles L. Geel and Ella W. Bush in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Shortly thereafter her parents relocated to New York where she remained through college. Beverly graduated from the University of New York as a Medical Technologist. Her parents relocated to Virginia where she met her sailor, Kenneth P. McArthur. They were married on October 12, 1957 in Ithaca, New York. They moved to Denver, Colorado where she was employed by the University of Colorado Medical Center. They later moved to California where she worked at the Stanford Medical Center. In 1970, she and Kenneth moved to Colorado to take up ranching which was the happiest period of her life. She was the proud mother of three children; Patricia L., Kenneth C. (Tammie) and Elizabeth A. (Ray) Griffin. She leaves behind her husband of 56 years Kenneth P., ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and sister Cheryl Turner of California. Preceding her in death were her parents and daughter Patricia. We cannot begin to thank all those who provided acts of kindness during Beverly’s trials. However, special mention goes to Dr. Hoppe, his staff and the crew of KCC Hospital.
