Brent Hostetler

Lifelong Seibert, Colorado resident, Brent Lee Hostetler, passed away on December 12, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was 54 years old. Brent was born to John Loyd (Shorty) and Elizabeth Louise (Chaffin) Hostetler on March 9, 1957, in Burlington Colorado. Brent grew up in the Seibert area, where he attended grade school and high school, graduating from Seibert High School in 1975. Brent spent his life on the home ranch northwest of Seibert. He enjoyed learning to farm from his dad and spent many hours checking the wheat stand often telling his dad that he was digging up the whole field looking for sprouts. During his lifetime Brent enjoyed the company of several dogs, many named Harry. He also had buffalo and his cow herd that he enjoyed until his death. Also being an avid collector, Brent had a collection of over 100 cars, trucks, vans, and school busses. Preceding Brent in death were his parents, and sister-in-law, Darice Hostetler. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Alec Hostetler of Rifle, CO; brothers, Larry Hostetler, (Debbie Alexander), and Dave Hostetler; nieces Heather Schlosser (Cary) and Melissa Ezell, nephews Ryan Hostetler and Scott Ezell along with extended family and friends.
