Caroline L. Orcutt

Caroline Orcutt, a lifelong resident of Rush, Colorado passed away February 9, 2024 at Penrose Hospital after a brief illness. Caroline was born August 12, 1943 in Ellsworth, KS to Frank and Jean Ploutz and moved to Simla at age 12. She married Frank Orcutt on September 18, 1958. From this union they had 5 children, Arnold (Mustang, OK), Brenda Tipton (Limon, CO), Deborah (Jim) (Campbellsport, WI), Heath and David (Rush, CO). Caroline had 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Caroline is also survived by her sister Betsy Larson (Gary) of Kirbyville, Missouri, Railene Ramsey (Roger), Pam Ramsey (Willie) and Jeff Ploutz of Russell, Kansas, and her Aunt Florence Moore (Tom) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. 

Caroline spent 43 years as a school bus driver for the Miami Yoder School where she enjoyed watching “her kids “grow and learn. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with her family and playing with her dog.

Her husband Frank, son heath, her parents and in-laws, Brothers Jim and Justin Ploutz, Sister Valerie Ramsey, son in-law Jack Tipton along with numerous other family members, preceded Caroline in death.

Caroline requested Graveside Services only that will be held at the Kanza Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside Frank.
