Charles Trahern

Charles Andrew Trahern, 75, of Flagler, CO passed away on June 12, 2006 at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home in Hugo, CO. Charles was born on August 11, 1930 in Sublette, Kansas to James and Elmo Cecil (Droz) Trahern Sr. oldest of six children. Charles graduated from Flagler High School in 1948. Charles married Ina Lou Murphy on June 10, 1951 they were blessed with four children. He was a member of the BPOE (Elks) Club, loved to golf and even had a hole-in-one at 151 yards. Charles also enjoyed bowling and bowled a perfect game (300) in Boulder, CO. Charles and Ina Lou have made Flagler their home for the past 13 years and Charles will be missed by many friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ina Lou of Flagler, CO; sons; Charles Lynn (Linda) Trahern of Mead, CO, Robert Steve (Mary) Trahern of Longmont, CO and Calvin (Liz) Trahern of Broomfield, CO, one daughter; Brenda Louise (Don) Barger of Alabama. Charles is also survived by his twelve grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren whom will miss him greatly and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service was conducted by the family for Charles Trahern on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Flagler Baptist Church in Flagler, CO with Pastor Alvin Wilkerson officiating.
