Christian Rogich

Christian Steven Rogich, of Limon Colorado, passed away Sunday Oct 16th, 2011. Chris was born October 30th, 1936 to Mike and Lulu (Ummel) Rogich in Limon. He attended Limon Schools. Chris was always interested in the automotive field and began working with cars at the age of 15. In 1966 Chris left Limon for a brief time to live and work in San Diego California. There he attended evening classes at San Diego State University and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for San Diego County. It was also during his time there that he met his wife Viola Miller. They were married in 1972 and moved back to Limon in 1976, two weeks prior to the birth of their only son Steven. After returning to Limon, Chris continued to work primarily in the automotive field. He was employed by Napa Auto Parts, Clay Motors, the town of Limon, and most recently, Limon Correctional Facility where he was an automotive instructor until his retirement in 2006. Chris spent his life serving his Lord and Savior. Throughout his life Chris also enjoyed many hobbies including drag racing, riding motorcycles, playing guitar, watching sporting events, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. Chris is survived by his devoted wife Viola of Limon, his son Steven (Aundrea) of Loveland, and his grandchildren Reese and Ava Rogich. He is preceded in death by his parents Mike and Lulu Rogich. Chris will be sadly missed by many family and friends.
