2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was 80 years old.
Darrell Joseph Fox was born March 9, 1941 to Ralph and Sylvia (Benoit) Fox in Hoxie, Kansas.
Darrell was one of seven boys born to this union.
He attended and graduated school in Stratton. During his school years he enjoyed participating
in football, basketball and track. Many stories were told about growing up south of town and all
the escapades and adventures that the boys had.
He married Cecilia Marie Isenbart, on June 16, 1962 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in
Stratton. To this union four children were born: Don, DeAnna, Darren and Heidi.
Darrell worked at a variety of jobs during his life, and he retired from Kit Carson County Road
and Bridge.
He was skilled in many different things, from carpentry to working on small
engines. His children knew that if they needed any help with a project all they had to do was
ask.
After he retired, Darrell had many animals that he enjoyed raising. There were cattle,
llamas, miniature donkeys, a miniature mule, horses, sheep, cats, and dogs.
He was a kind, hard working man, who cherished his family. Darrell enjoyed visits from his
children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. His favorite pastimes were hunting and
fishing. He loved being outdoors and watching wildlife.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Fox, parents, and brothers, Bob, Charles (Chuck),
