Dr. Anthony Olaiz

Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident Dr. Anthony A. Olaiz passed away on June 28, 2014 at his home in Burlington. He was 88 years old. Anthony (Tony) was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado October 25, 1925. He was best known by his friends as "Doc". He had a passion for life and loved helping others. This passion led to his pursuit of a Life of healing. He graduated from the University of Natural Healing Arts as a Doctor of Chiropractic and practiced as such for 45 years. He also served for 15 years as coroner for Kit Carson County. He served on the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Tony received numerous commendations and awards and was well respected by his peers. Tony will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Tony was preceded in death by his father Eron Olaiz, mother Carolina Greco, stepfather Joe Medina, Sons Robert J. Olaiz, Anthony A. Jr. Olaiz, brother Vincent Medina, sister Margaret Ewing. He is survived by his wife Jennifer of 44 years, daughters Angelia Childers (Mike), Desiree McAnany (Brian), grandsons Dustin McAnany, Robert Harris, Matthew Childers, and Michael Childers. Two great grandchildren. Brothers Joe Medina, Tom Medina and a sister Virginia Carr.
