Edward Solze

Edward Arthur Solze, 92, died Monday, December 26, 2005, at his home in Garden City, Kansas. Mr. Solze was born February 8, 1914, in the Plymell Community in Finney County, Kansas, to Edward Arthur and Lena Susan Williams Solze. A Limon, Colorado, resident for the past 50 years, Mr. Solze was a farmer and stockman. Mr. Solze was a member of The Church of Resurrection in Limon, Colorado. He was also a member of the National Guard and the Masonic Lodge (Lincoln Lodge No. 146, A.F. and A.M.). On April 12 1949, he married Margaret Elizabeth Kennedy in Colorado. They resided on a farm south of Limon. She died December 18, 1982. Mr. Solze was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ned Solze, L.L. (Buss) Solze, Eugene (Bill) Solze; and four sisters, Ethel Salters, Maxine Sauer, Roene Craft, and Lenora Waller. He is survived by his sister, Estella Hate, and a numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Love Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Love Funeral Home in Limon, Colorado. Burial will take place in the Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon under the direction of Love Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The Church of the Resurrection of Limon, 649 ‘G’ avenue, Limon, Colorado.
