Eileen Weis

August 29, 1940 — March 5, 2015

Eileen Weis, 74, from Griswold, Iowa, passed away peacefully after living with a chronic illness for several years. Eileen was the second of four children born to Clyde & Emma (McCormick) Mullis, on August 29, 1940. She enjoyed growing up in Burlington with her brothers & sister, turning cartwheels down the street, fishing with her dad, beating up boys and saving cats. She met her first husband Bernard, and they were married on February 20, 1956. To this union six children were born. The family moved from Colorado, living in many places such as California, Washington & Alaska. After Bernard was killed in an automobile accident in Alaska, Eileen moved her family back to Colorado and later met & married Jim Weis on December 4, 1980. While living in Colorado, she could be found helping her mother Emma at the senior center cooking for the seniors. She loved it, it was a great joy for her to help her mom & talk to the many people that would come there for lunches. Jim & Eileen moved to Iowa, and there she could be found hanging out with her friends at "The Daily Bread". She also enjoyed helping her friends at the donation spot for the homeless veterans. She is survived by her husband James Weis, children Rocky and Arlene Clark, Tammy and Tony Mangus, Sandy and Ron Dreitz, Mike and Lori Clark, Diane (Dede) and Ty Toner, 12 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by three step children; James Ross, Jerry Weis and Christina Weis, as well as her brother Gene and Jeanette Mullis, brother Russ Mullis, sister Corky Monroe. She is proceeded in death by her first husband Bernard Leroy Clark, her parents Clyde and Emma Mullis, her daughter Catherine Eileen Severin and granddaughter Nicole Ashley Clark.
