Eleanore Mccracken

View Video Tribute Eleanore Jean McCracken, age 73, of Limon, CO passed away January 26, 2008 at Limon. Jean was born May 18, 1934 to Perry and Millie Mae (Carnahan) Brockett in Colcord, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of three children. On December 30, 1950, Jean married James Albert McCracken in Raton, New Mexico. To this union, four daughters were born: Linda, Debbie, Joyce and Pamela. The family made their home in Las Animas until 1965, moving to Swink until 1995 and then back to Las Animas. Jean moved to Limon in January of 2006 where she resided at Carla’s Cluster Care until her death. Over the years, Jean was involved in the Stitch and Chatter Club of Las Animas, the Swink Methodist Church, and enjoyed camping, fishing, shopping and collecting bells. Jean also loved her poodle dogs, all of which were named Buffy. Jean was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Millie, husband James Albert, daughter Linda Jean Prentiss, and a brother James Brockett. Jean is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Geist of Limon, Colorado, Joyce (Dan) MacPherson of Aurora, Colorado, and Pamela (Guy) Iuppa of Aurora, Colorado; sister Leela (Manuel) Raso of La Junta, Colorado; and four grandchildren, Kerri Hostetler and finance Justin Kimel of Aurora, Colorado, Adam (Laura) Hostetler and son Gabe of Sterling, Colorado, Lisa (Charles) Marsh of Fairbanks, Alaska and Kara Slaichert of Aurora, Colorado. A Memorial Service for Jean will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Swink Methodist Church in Swink, Colorado. Burial of cremains will be held in the Las Animas Cemetery in Las Animas, Colorado.
