Elizabeth “Betty” Mary Mann Sala most affectionaly known as Aunt Betty. Born on November 28, 1934 in Denver, Colorado to Elizabeth Gully Mann. She was welcomed home on to the Gully ranch by her three uncles Jim, John and Bill Gully. Also her Aunt Mayme, Uncle John O’Brien and Cousins John and Jim.
Her early years were spent helping on the ranch with her mother and going to school in a one room school house. She was a huge help with the Gully rodeo and was even “Queen of the Show”! When she was 15 her mother passed away. She then moved to town and started working when she was 16. She got a job for Mountain Bell Telephone where she was an operator until 1977.
In 1977 she Married John Otto Sala and they moved to the ranch North of Elizabeth where they built a life together. They raised fine beef cattle and quality Quarter Horses. Even after John passed in 2005 she remained on the ranch and continued raising fine cattle.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and countless friends. To know her was to love her the instant you met she became your Aunt Betty. If you ever left her house hungry it was your own fault.
