Elva Vivian Berridge, 97, of Colorado Springs, formerly of Limon, Colorado passed away on January 4, 2014 at Colonial Columns Care Center.
Elva was born in Grant City, Iowa to Alfred Oliver and Dollie Alma (Jewell) Miley one of eight children. She grew up in Genoa, Colorado graduating from Genoa High School.
Elva married Carl Arthur Berridge and they had one son, Carl Edward Berridge. They owned the Wild Horse Mobile gas station for years.
She enjoyed reading the local news especially the obituaries to see if she should get dressed that day. Elva loved doing the daily crossword puzzles. Elva loved being a grandmother to her two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She loved to tell stories of her life and visit with anyone, she didnt know a stranger.
Elva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by her son Carl Edward Berridge of Limon, Colorado, grandchildren; Tina Drake of Calhan, Colorado and Barbara Evans of Parachute, Colorado. Elva is also survived by five great grandchildren; Stephen Evans, Keith Jaques, Renee Smith, Danielle Lewis and Jamie Jones and eight great-great grandchildren.
