On Monday March 4th, 2024 Emilio Diaz also known as William to many of his friends passed away in his home at the age of 41.
Emilio was born on May 25th, 1982, in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. Emilio is the oldest of 3 being the only son and having two younger sisters. Emilio’s father Jose de Jesus known as Pepe passed away when he was a young boy. He was raised by his grandmother “Mama Jose” whom he adored.
His entire life he had a tremendous love for all animals. In particular dogs and ducks. He would often say that his life dream was to live in his own personal zoo. He was never without a dog and would often raise ducks after hatching them from eggs. He would always have lists of animals he wanted to have at home, his most recent one other than ducks and dogs was sugar gliders. He once had fish and raised them from the size of a quarter to nearly two feet.
Emilio had so much love and respect for law enforcement and the military. He had always dreamed of joining the military himself. But unfortunately due to his back injury he was unable to fulfill that dream.
If something had wheels on it, Emilio would surely love it. He loved riding his motorcycle, he loved his diesel engines and was able to fulfill his dream of owning a deuce and a half. He was very smart and knowledgeable, especially when it came to vehicles. He got great pleasure out of taking engines apart and putting them back together. In these last few years there was not a time he did not have some kind of vehicle halfway apart in the shop getting rebuilt.
Throughout Emilio’s life he held a lot of jobs ranging from cake decorator to his current one as a tow truck driver. He always fulfilled every positon with pride and worked hard always making his way to the top. Emilio always made life long bonds at most of his jobs. At one job he found a dad (his pops Rick) and at another a brother (Cameron) who gave him the joy of being an uncle. At his current job at Winterberg he found an entire family.
Emilio had a great love for Children. He had several nieces and nephews. He was most excited when he met his Daughter Angelica a few years ago. He loved being a dad and was always so proud of his daughter’s accomplishments no matter how big or small.
Emilio was known for his quick wit, his infectious laughter but most importantly his kind and compassionate spirit. He would always make every effort to always help those around him. Regardless of what they may have needed.
Emilio was preceded in death by his father Jose de Jesus (Pepe) Diaz. His grandmother
Josefina Diaz. He is survived by his daughter Angelica Stephenson. His sister Ariadna Diaz (son Oliver), his second sister Melina Diaz (daughters Fatima, Sofia, Stephanie, Melanie), his brother Cameron Ratcliff (wife Danielle and children Cali and Garrett) as well as many cousins and other family members. Even though you are no longer with us we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
