Erma Sailer

Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident Erma Sailer passed away June 18, 2011 at the Good Samaritan in Goodland, Kansas. She was 78 years old. Erma was born in Burlington, Colorado on March 7,1933 to Ralph and Nellie Schmidt. She had an older sister Marge Conger. They grew up on the farm South of Burlington. Erma married Dean Sailer on May 6,1966. They made their home north of Burlington. In August of 1969, they had a daughter, Charla. You would find Erma outside helping Dean on the farm with whatever needed to be done. She enjoyed working in the yard and when her grand kids, Brandon and Brittany were young she loved taking care of them and playing outside with them. She loved getting in the car on Sundays and going to visit family or friends. Erma will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandma and friend. Erma is preceded in death by her husband Dean, son Terry, brother in law Dean Stewart and Sister in law Shirley Sailer. She is survived by her daughter Charla Jones, her husband Stacy and grandkids Brandon and Brittany, granddaughter Heather Olsen, grandsons Andy and Stephen, daughter in law Linda Fromong and sister Marge (Pete) Conger, sister in laws Vivian (Jake) Jacober and Marge Stewart, and a brother in law Wayne Sailer as well as many nieces and nephews.
