Eshaid Fernando Marquez, a dedicated Sergeant at the State of Colorado Department of Corrections, tragically and suddenly passed away on July 22, 2023. He was born to Fernando Marquez and Karina Verdugo on November 19, 1992, in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Eshaid had a passion for his career and served as a Seargent at the Department of Corrections for the State of Colorado. He was respected by his colleagues and approached his work with unwavering dedication and professionalism. Eshaid's commitment to his job extended beyond his daily duties, as he thoroughly enjoyed mentoring new employees and fostering a supportive work environment.

In addition to his successful professional life, Eshaid had a thirst for knowledge and pursued his education diligently. He was a proud high school graduate who also received some college education. Furthermore, Eshaid had completed DOC Training and SWAT Training, which equipped him with the necessary skills to excel in his line of work.

Outside of work and education, Eshaid had a vibrant personality that radiated joy and enthusiasm. He possessed an insatiable love for food, particularly exploring new culinary experiences. His taste for adventure also led him to travel far and wide, embracing diverse cultures along the way. Eshaid had an affinity for music that touched his soul deeply. He appreciated all genres and found solace in its melodic embrace.

Eshaid took pride in his appearance and enjoyed experimenting with fine colognes that complemented his charismatic persona. Moreover, he valued artistic expression and was fascinated by skulls - symbolizing rebirth and transformation - which he admired for their intricate details.

Despite being an adventurous soul who enjoyed exploring, every journey was better when shared with friends. Eshaid cherished those close connections in his life and thrived on building lasting relationships with others. His warm heart overflowed with kindness towards everyone he encountered.

Above all, Eshaid's greatest love was reserved for his family. He held his mother, Karina Castillo, and his stepfather, Jesus Castillo, dear to his heart. His sister, Denisse L. Marquez, and niece Jareth Madrigales were sources of immense joy in his life. Eshaid also had a special bond with his beloved dog, Milo.

To honor and celebrate Eshaid's life, visitation services will be held on July 30, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burlington Location on 377 15th Street in Burlington, Colorado. Following the visitation, a prayer service will take place from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. The day will conclude with a Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on 450 3rd Street in Burlington starting at 4:00 PM with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Burlington, Colorado.

Eshaid Fernando Marquez leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and adventure. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find eternal peace as we remember and celebrate the remarkable life he led.
