Everett Eugene "Gene" Tatman passed away December 16, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Gene was born February 28, 1942 to Everett and Dorothy (Davis) Tatman in Pueblo, Colorado. Gene attended school in Pueblo through the 9th grade at which time his step-father Joseph Alexander moved the family to Boone, Colorado. He graduated from Boone High School in 1960 and then attended Western Bible Institute in Morrison, Colorado. Gene graduated with a BA in Bible in 1964.
Gene was united in marriage to Carol Tidyman, July 18, 1965. They have four children; Oscar, Paul, Julie and Ezra.
Gene pastored for 15 years in different churches in South Dakota, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado. The family then moved to the Simla area and Gene worked for the Senior and Social Services offices for 29 years.
After retiring, Gene enjoyed attending grandchildren’s ball games and activities, spending time with the family and watching old western movies.
Gene is survived by his wife Carol, sons Oscar, Paul and Ezra (Missy) and daughter Julie (Matt). Grandchildren: Ashly, Justin, Nicolle and Katelynn. Brothers: Danny (Judy), Joe (Fran), Johnny and sister Shirley (Fred). In-laws: Naomi, Donna (Don), Bethel (Tom), Bill (Marlene), Holly (Alvin), Dean (Lori), Kenny (Mary) and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to the family for designation at a later date.
