Fallice Calvert

June 11, 1916 — June 18, 2006

Fallice E. Calvert, age 90, was born on June 11, 1916 to Jacob Clay and Hallie May (Weddle) Calvert in Amazonia, Missouri. He died at Lincoln Community Nursing Home on June 18, 2006. He was the sixth of seven children and the last remaining sibling of the family. Fal attended school through the eighth grade. He then quit to help his parents. He married G. Olive Norbye at the Walk’s Camp Lutheran Church on November 23, 1938 and to this union five children were born. Fal lived and worked in Limon, Colorado, Missouri, and Nebraska, farming, trucking, working construction, and doing whatever it took to earn a living until being injured on the job. Fal was a resident the past few years at Lincoln Community Nursing Home in Hugo, CO. He was a member of Colorado Operating Engineers #9 and Zion Lutheran Church of Limon, CO. Preceding him in death was his wife Olive, daughter; LaWanda Calvert, parents; Jacob and Hallie Calvert, brothers; Lewis, Cecil, Mike, and Woody Calvert, and sisters; Arlie Dubree and Laura Barela. He is survived by four children; Lewis and his wife Edris Calvert of Monticello, UT, E. Fal Calvert of Limon, CO, Nancy and husband Gorden Hollowell of Hugo, CO, Jimmy and wife Mona Calvert of Colorado Springs, CO, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Funeral services for Fal will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, CO with burial immediately following at Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon, CO. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 1:00 ~ 4:00 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home. Memorials my be made to Lincoln Community Hospital and Nursing Home P.O. Box 248, Hugo, CO 80821 or the Zion Lutheran Church P.O. Box 127, Limon, CO 80828.
