Frances Major

Frances Tidwell Major went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2014. Fran was born September 24, 1918 in Baird, Texas to her parents, John Schuyler and Claudia Mae (Loven) Tidwell. She was one of five children, and the last surviving member of that immediate family. Fran graduated from McLean High School, McLean, Texas, class of 1936. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Major, in December 1940. Bob preceded her in death in December 2001. She was a loving, caring mother to her two children, and will be fondly remembered and missed by her entire family. Her life’s journey is now over and she resides in Heaven, surrounded by loved ones who have gone before her. Fran is survived by her loving family including daughter Judy Snyder and husband Jay of Burlington, Colorado; her son Ronnie Major, and wife Barbara of Tyler, Texas; four grand-daughters; two great-grand-daughters; and six great-grandsons.
