Frederick Tuttle

Frederick “Fred” Tuttle, 76, of Hugo, Colorado passed away November 20, 2014 at the Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Fred was born to Harold and Lottie (Mark) Tuttle on December 8, 1937 in Denver Colorado. Fred had four siblings, Jacki Thelen, Kay Neckel, James Wood and Robert Wood. Fred graduated from Alameda High School in 1955. He married Sharon Laverty in 1957 and together they adopted two daughters, Terrie and Kathy. He was drafted into the Army in 1959 and served for two years. Nine months of that time was spent in Germany. Fred lived in Central City for several years. He had a love for country music and he spent much of his spare time listening to the local artists. He also gained an interest in photography during this time. He spent countless hours photographing these musicians, family, friends and the beautiful Colorado landscape. Fred worked for Caterpillar Tractor where he retired after 40 years of service. During the later years he spent time working in both Florida and Illinois where he made some friends that were very dear to him. After retiring he moved to Hugo, Colorado, where he enjoyed the small town life. No matter what personal accomplishments he made the one true inspiration was his children, grandchildren and family. Fred was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters Terrie McKinney of Littleton, Colorado and Kathy (Stan) Packer of Lakewood, Colorado, his siblings Kay Neckel of Loveland, Colorado, Jackie Thelen of Hugo, Colorado, James Wood of Windsor, Colorado and Robert (Jodie) Wood of Frisco, Texas. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Dillion Becker, Brittany Becker, Devon McKinney and Austin Packer as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
