Geneva Troutt

Longtime, Aurora, Colorado resident, Geneva Schaal Troutt passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home in Aurora, Colorado. She was 65 years old. Geneva was born on February 10, 1949 to Ted and Elma (Gramm) Schaal in Burlington, Colorado. She was one of two children born to this union. She attended and graduated from Burlington High School in 1967 and Graduated from Colorado Christian University in 1997 with B.A. in Organizational Management She met and married John B. Troutt on July 29, 1995 in Denver, Colorado. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing. She was an ordained Stephens Minister. Geneva was a member of the American Baptist Women Meyer’s Circle, the Embroidery Guild and on the Village East neighborhood Board, Botanical Children’s Garden development committee, and the Aurora Water Board Geneva was a country girl at heart. She loved gardening and canning. Helping out on her parents and brother’s ranches with cattle and harvest when needed. Piecing and quilting with her mom and Edna Fross. Geneva was a proud grandmother of six; Ashley, Ava, Audrey, Lincoln, Jensen and Lydia. Geneva is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Danette Elma Hudson. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband John of Aurora, Colorado, her children; Justin Hudson (Kari) of Parker, Colorado, Babette Hudson-Tsao Freddie of Denver, Colorado, Roger Troutt of Olathe, Kansas, one brother Clyde Schaal (Theresa) of Burlington, Colorado. She is also survived by an aunt Esther Corliss, uncle Reverend Herbert Schaal as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
