View Video Tribute George “Augie� W. Ostrander, Jr. 86 of Hugo, CO passed away on February 20, 2008 at Lincoln Community Nursing Home in Hugo, CO. George was born on July 23, 1921 to George W. and Myra (Vandecarr) Ostrander in Detroit, MI. He graduated High School in Detroit, MI in 1939. George married Kay Arlene Forney on October 26th, 1973 in Pontiac Michigan. They have seven children. George was quiet a collector. He collected hats, sweat shirts, belt buckles and ink pins. George enjoyed going to second hand shops and looking for treasures. He loved watching the Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos and cartoons. George also enjoyed traveling. George was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather. George is survived by his wife Kay of Hugo, CO and children; Terry (Edris) Smith of Florence, CO, Michael (Lisa) Ostrander of Glendale, AZ, Steve (Nancy) Ostrander of Detroit, MI, John (Lauri) Ostrander of Hugo, CO, Brian (Janice) Ostrander of Webster, SD, Vicki Gonzales of Detroit, MI and Patricia (Willie) McCain of Dundee, MI. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and other extended family members and friends. A funeral service for George will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008, 1:00 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, CO. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 12 – 3 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home, Limon, CO. Memorials are suggested to the Lincoln Community Nursing Home 111 6th Street, Hugo, CO 80821.
