Gerald Fox

Lifelong Stratton, Colorado resident Gerald Dean "Jerry" Fox passed away at his home on March 26, 2010. He was 67 years old. He fought a long, hard battle with cancer. Jerry was born in Menlo, Kansas on June 10, 1942 to Ralph and Sylvia (Benoit) Fox. He attended and graduated from Stratton High School in 1960. On June 27, 1964, he was united in marriage to Julia Ann Leikam in Stratton. They had three children, Ken, Michelle, and Brian. Jerry was an electrician in Denver for ten years and later moved to Stratton. He worked in the Stratton/Burlington area until his retirement in 2006. He was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years and had a passion for fishing. He loved being outdoors and watching wildlife. Preceding Jerry in death were his parents and a brother Charles Fox. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fourty-five years Julia, of their home in Stratton. Son Ken and wife Helen of Parshall, CO, daughter Michelle and husband Troy, their children Austin and Allyson of Woodland Park, CO and son Brian and wife Juleen, their children Alexandra, Hayden and Seth of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are his brothers Bob, Jerome, Darrell, John, and Harry, also a host of neices, nephews, aunts, uncles and many special friends.
