Gladys Marie (Palmer) Thomas was born on November 21, 1933 in St. Francis, KS, to Olive Belle (Kirkendall) Palmer and Ralph Orville Palmer. She passes from this life Saturday November 6, 2010 at the age of 76 years of natural causes at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.
Gladys was married to James William Monroe Thomas, November 25, 1955, in St. Francis, KS. James passed away in 1993.
Gladys was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed writing letters, taking photos, reading the Bible, and listening to music.
Survivors include two daughters, Melinda Durfee of Texas, Charlene Eaves of Wichita and one son Jody Thomas, two brothers, Harold Palmer of Colorado Springs, Eldon Palmer of Goodland, two sisters, Vera Beneda of Goodland, Valeria Coleman of Bird City.
Those preceding her in death were her parents, Olive Belle (Kirkendall) and Ralph Orville Palmer, her husband, James William Monroe Thomas, one sister, Ila Theye.
