Gregory E. Steerman 36, of Bennett, Colorado, joined his father in Heaven on November 12, 2021, losing his 4-year valiant battle with lung disease and heart failure.
Greg was born September 19, 1985 to Marvin and Dee Dee Steerman in Denver Colorado, and lived most of his life in Deer Trail, recently moving to Bennett, Colorado. Greg attended both junior and senior high school in Byers and went on to study at Morgan Community College as well as Northeastern Junior College. Greg enlisted in the United States Marine Corp for a short period of time before being medically discharged. Following the Marine Corps, he worked as an Operator at Ball Metal, explored electrical trades for a while, and most recently worked in the meat department at King Soopers. Greg was the epitome of a “Sports aficionado.” He would often call his family with sports news of athletes, we had no idea who they were, but Greg was either excited to share or extremely upset! Greg loved nothing more than to sit down and watch any sport on the TV with his family and friends…..except Tennis.
Greg is survived by his mother, Dee Dee (DaPhenne) Pridgen Steerman, Bennett, CO; his brother, Christopher Steerman, Crosby, TX; sister in-law Melissa Steerman, nephew Layton Steerman, niece Macee Steerman. Half Sister Stephanie Kelly, Las Vegas NV; maternal grandmother, Paula Miller, Gardnerville NV; paternal grandfather; Ronnie Steerman, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Steerman and paternal Grandmother, LaNelva Steerman.
Services will be held Friday, November. 19th @ 1pm, Journey Church, 56000 E. Colfax Ave, Strasburg, CO 80136. Pastor Dusty Morris will officiate. A reception celebrating the joy Greg brought to our lives will follow at our family home.
The family requests that you love “out loud” those you care for while you can. Days and hours are not guaranteed or certain. We are blessed by the memories we have with Greg and ask that you make some joyful memories of your own in remembrance of Greg.
