Harry Eugene Munsch, 87, passed away with his family by his side on March 19, 2016, at Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells, CO. He was born in Bazine, Kansas, on December 6, 1928, the son of Henry and Catherine (Depperschmidt) Munsch. He served in the United States Navy for four years and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Harry worked in the oil fields in Kansas and then moved to Colorado in 1961 to farm with his brother Lawrence. He retired from farming after 35 years. Harry was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1948 and was active in the Catholic Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Lawrence Munsch of Cheyenne Wells, CO and Robert Munsch, of Lawrence, Kansas, sister-in-laws, brother-in-law and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Catherine and Henry Munsch, five brothers; Joe, Edwin, Ralph, Jerry and LeRoy Munsch, three sisters; Velma Boltz, Arlene Hanan and Wanita Reinert.
Harry enjoyed golfing and was instrumental in the development and growth of Smoky River Golf Club. He also liked to bowl, go fishing with his friends and garden. Harry often attended Old Settlers in Ness City, KS to visit family, friends and attend his class reunions.
