Iola Mccauley

Iola Meredith McCauley, 75, of Hugo, Colorado passed away on September 7, 2015 at the Lincoln Community Care Center. Iola was born on May 23, 1940 in Alamosa, Colorado to James J. and Lucy J. (Jordan) Snodgrass one of four children born to this union. She grew up and married James L. McCauley on March 21, 1963 in Denver, Colorado and the couple was blessed with four children. They moved to Montana then on to Spokane, Washington in 1976 where Jim worked as a draftsman. Iola attended Eastern Washington University in Spokane, Washington graduating with her Nursing Degree in 1981. She enjoyed helping with the Cub Scouts and worked with the Red Cross Blood Drives and the Ladies Auxiliary. Iola spent time working at the hospital after receiving her nursing degree. Iola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James McCauley and one son, Damon McCauley. Iola is survived by her three children; David McCauley of Billings, Montana, Devin McCauley of Spokane, WA, Darcel Markgraf of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada; seven grandchildren; her brother James Snodgrass of Hamilton, CO sisters Linda Yoder of Karval and Alice Henderson of Wheatridge, CO.
