Irene Jones

Irene Mae Jones, 93, of Seibert, Colorado passed away on February 18, 2012 at the Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland, Kansas. She was born on September 7, 1918 to Michael and Lydia (Schertz) Ruby in Thurman, Colorado. She married Roy “Dale” Jones on October 9, 1937 in Goodland, Kansas. She and Dale farmed until his death in 1959. Irene was a member of the United Methodist Church in Seibert. She loved to read and grow flowers and gardens. Irene loved to sew, crochet, embroider, and greatly enjoyed babysitting grandkids and great grandkids. Surviving are her daughters Ardis (Ron) Kelley of Kallispell, Montana, Myrna (Neil) Kibler of Agency, Iowa, son Ervin (Marilynne) Jones of Seibert, Colorado; grandchildren Brock Kelly, Melinda Hovey, Stacy Jones, Michelle Wingert, Allen Gosnell and Tedra Magdefrau, John and Bill Kibler, and thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister-in-law Delpha Ruby and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, and brother David Ruby.
