James Rhoads

James Carl Rhoads, 86, of Limon, Colorado passed away on February 4, 2016 in Hugo, Colorado. James was born March 19, 1929 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Carl C. and Girley I. (Burns) Rhoads. He grew up in Oklahoma and at age 19 came to Colorado. He married Dorothy E. Hall in Burlington, Colorado on September 14, 1950 and the couple was blessed with four children. James began working for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1947 and retired on June 1, 1991. James enjoyed 24 years of retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, he enjoyed outdoors and enjoyed many years of helping his neighbors and cleaning up around the neighborhood. James also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Ellen Starr and infant daughter, Georgia Ann, infant granddaughter, Summer Honey. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Limon, Colorado, his children; son Terry L. (Pamela) Rhoads of Wamego, Kansas, daughter Ima Jean (Doug) Stars of Casper, Wyoming and daughter Susan C. (Ron) Jaques of Arriba, Colorado. James is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters; Carlene (Les) Knisley of Commerce City, Colorado and Kay Meredith of Casper, Wyoming.
