Jean “Jeannie” Schaeffer, 58, of Genoa, Colorado passed away at her home on March 15, 2018 after a brief illness.
Jeannie was born on March 9, 1960 in Harmony, Missouri one of five children born to Melville H. and Dolores C. (Casaus) Fay. She graduated from South High in Denver, Colorado and was married to Dave Schaeffer on September 26, 1986.
She was a waitress for Flying J, Fireside Junction and Rip Griffins. Jeannie was very loved by many of her repeat customers and she always made their day brighter by her beautiful smile. She loved singing at weddings and other special events, enjoyed making cakes and doing crafts. Jeannie loved to travel with her beloved husband Dave on his trucking journeys. Her passion was her dogs or any animal that needed a home. Jeannie did love shopping.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Dave of Genoa, Colorado, three brothers; Gary (Kathy) Fay of Fort Collins, Colorado, Dennis (Patricia) Fay of California and Patrick Fay of Arizona and one sister, Victoria Fay of Englewood, Colorado. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Melville and Dolores Fay.
A Funeral Service for Jeannie will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Love Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with burial to follow at the Genoa Community Cemetery in Genoa, Colorado. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, Colorado.
