Jim Louis Murphy was born in Burlington on June 4, 1950 to Mae and Loyd Murphy of Seibert, Colorado. Jim attended all his school years in Seibert. Soon after high school Jim enlisted into the United States Army. He did his tour of duty in Vietnam. Moved in with his parents when he first arrived home.
Mae and Loyd Murphy sold their farm and moved to Meeker, Colorado. Jim moved to Denver where he worked at Samsonite Company and also drove a Pepsi Cola truck delivering orders.
Jim moved to Meeker where he resided for 3 years, moved to Flagler, Colorado for a short time, moved to Burlington, Colorado for a few years.
Around 2007 Jim moved to Flagler, Colorado where he purchased his dad’s house.
Flagler is where Jim resided till his death on March 19, 2016.
Jim’s father, Loyd Murphy preceded him in death. Jim is survived by his mother, Mae Smith of Akron, Colorado and sister Meredith Bezdek of Brighton, Colorado.
