Jimmy Colvin

Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident, Jimmy Lee Colvin passed away on January 22, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He was 77 years old. Jimmy was born on January 17, 1936 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to Robert Lee and Mary (Mussa) Colvin. He was one of five children born to this union. He attended school at Louis Palmer up until the ninth grade. He met and later married Carol Marlene Wallace on March 23, 1956 in Terra Haute, Indiana. To this union six children were born; Tracy, Mary, Lance, Edie, Jay and Dawn. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, spending time with his dogs, watching football and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Geneva Freda Clabaugh and one brother, Victor Colvin. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Carol of Burlington, his children; Lance Colvin and wife Earline of Burlington, Colorado, Jay Colvin and wife Dale of Wolverine Lake, Michigan, Edie Fauson and husband Norm of Burlington, Colorado, Tracy Henderson of Burlington, Colorado, Mary Haley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dawn Ingle of Guin, Alabama, eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and his brothers; Jerry Colvin and wife Dorothy of Ft. Garland, Colorado, Patrick Colvin of Alamosa, Colorado. Also surviving him is his Uncle Bill Colvin and wife Joyce of Kit Carson, Colorado along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
