In loving memory of John Golding, who passed away on December 15, 2023, in his home in Carmen, Idaho. John was a beacon of joy and warmth, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born to Corrine (Kinkade) and David Golding, John's journey was marked by a deep appreciation for family, laughter, and the simple joys of life. Growing up on the family ranch in eastern Colorado, he developed a profound connection to nature and a love for the ranch lifestyle.
John's adventurous spirit found its true expression at the lake, where he reveled in the exhilaration of riding jet skis, wake boarding, and the camaraderie of sitting around a crackling campfire. His enthusiasm for life extended to his hobbies, including collecting guns and competitive trap shooting, a passion that brought him both joy and time with friends and family.
A distinguished graduate with honors from Ellicott High School and Colorado State University, John's intellect was matched only by his affable nature. He could effortlessly carry on conversations for hours, creating bonds with everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His genuine laughter was contagious, a testament to the light-heartedness with which he approached life.
John's greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his two sons, Charles and Benjamin Golding, and his adored grandson, Keegan Golding, his wife of 9 years, Shannon Golding. In addition to his immediate family, John leaves behind brothers Jason Golding, Justin and sister-in-law Emily Golding, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
While we mourn the loss of John, we also celebrate the remarkable life he lived. He is preceded in death by his parents, Corrine and David Golding, and his grandparents, Charles Golding, Mary Golding, and Bill and Mary Kinkade. Their memory, along with John's, will forever be etched in our hearts.
In honoring John's memory, let us remember the laughter, the shared moments, and the love that he brought into our lives. His spirit will live on through the stories we tell and the memories we cherish. May he rest in eternal peace.
