Joe John Ledesma of Burlington, Colorado passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2022, at the age of 79. After several months of declining health, Joe died peacefully with beloved family members by his side.
Joe was born in Miller View, Texas on September 18, 1943, to father, Maximo Ledesma and mother Inocente De La Cruz Ledesma. Joe did not have the opportunity for formal education. He worked any odd job he could find starting at an early age. Joe married Guadalupe Perez, the love of his life, in 1964.
His work ethic and desire to take care of his growing family led him to move to Burlington, Colorado to begin his lifetime career in farming where he was employed by Hanna Farms in 1966. Joe also worked as a part time deputy sheriff.
Joe was an active member of the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Burlington, Colorado. There he was involved with the choir and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and the Denver Broncos. Joe was always there to help family and friends with whatever needs they had.
A special thank you to Joe’s surviving brothers Maximo and Santos Ledesma both from Levelland, Texas for their loving care and support during Joe’s final days.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Maximo and Inocente Ledesma, and his wife Guadalupe Ledesma.
Joe is survived and lovingly remembered by his children Alicia (Bruce VanMeter), Aurelia Ledesma (Antonio Gutierrez), Aurora Sandoval (Benito Castillo), Alfred (Heidi) Ledesma, Joe John Jr. Ledesma (Nicole Breedon), Josephina (Zach Miller) and Andrew Ledesma (Shelby Seymore). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
