Joseph Loren King was born on July 10, 1960 to Joseph Lewis King and Frances Clay King Blair. He was the third of four children; Annette, Bernadette, Joe, and Patrick. He graduated from Limon High School in 1978. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Marines. He spent the majority of his service time at Camp Pendleton in California. After his military discharge, Joe came back to his home town of Limon, Colorado where he married his high school sweetheart, Jill Jackson. They were married for 39 years and had four children who he loved and was very proud of. Joe went to work at Big Sur Waterbed factory in Simla before moving to Can-Am Drilling. In his work, Joe did not know a stranger, always willing to help anyone in the community and was only a phone call away.

Joe is survived by Jill King, his children Jessi, Jordan (Dove) and grandkids Jack and Emma, Jerome (Hailee) and grandkids Grayson and McCoy, and Jayln (Jake) and granddaughter Riley, his brother and sisters, and many nieces and nephews and other family members who loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed.
