Kathleen Baessler (Weller)

Kathleen “ Kathy “ Ann (Weller) Baessler was born on February 11, 1944.  She passed away on January 23^rd, 2024, at the age of 79 in Hugo, Colorado. Kathy was born in Denver, Colorado, to Art and Letha (Schriner) Weller. She spent her childhood in Elizabeth, as well as getting her education from Elizabeth High School. Later on, she became a college graduate of CU Boulder and a graduate of Saint Anthony Hospital School of Radiology Technology.  

Kathy experienced two marriages in her life; her first marriage to Neil Reese in 1967, and then her second marriage to late husband Walt Baessler. Kathy and Walt were married on February 11^th, 1990, in Strasburg, Colorado, at Strasburg Presbyterian Church.

Kathy was a radiologist and an ultrasound technician of radiology for several years and became a trainer for Denver General Hospital and Saint Anthony’s. She made sure to make time for her hobbies whenever she could, which included knitting, gardening, cooking and gambling.

Kathy is survived by her two step-daughters, Kathy (Ron) Moorhead, and Kim Baessler; her brother, Dave (Renee) Weller of Strasburg, and a sister-in-law Dianna Weller.  She is also survived by multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walt Baessler.
