Lloyd Linnebur

Lloyd Hubert Linnebur born January 30, 1930 passed away July 5, 2010 at the age of 80 years old. Lloyd was born near Goddard, Kansas to Ben and Apolonia (Lona) Linnebur. Lloyd was next to the youngest in a family of 7 siblings, with five brothers and one sister. The family moved to a farm north of Byers soon after he was born. Lloyd’s early years were spent living and working on this farm. Lloyd formed a farming partnership with his brother Emmett which lasted until 1966 when they decided to part ways as their families grew. In 1962 Lloyd married Shirley Scheller and together they raised eight sons and two daughters. Along with his family Lloyd’s farm expanded. Lloyd lived and worked with his family on the farm right up to the end. Lloyd is survived by his wife Shirley; his brother Gene, and his ten children, Matt, Alan, Frank, Mark, Paul, Angela (McCauley), Lloyd Jr., Andrew, Barbara (Lacata), William, 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Lona, his siblings Alf, Delores (Pelz), Jim, Emmett, and Marvin.
