On August 11, 2006, she married Tony Johnson in Sturgis, South Dakota. Together they took many trips on their motorcycles with friends. She purchased her purple Harley Davidson in 2012 which was one of her happiest moments. Her other interests included horses, dogs, cooking, canning, baking, collecting cook books, crafts, going to auctions and yard sales. She was active in the Relay for Life events for the past five years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Limon. Survivors include her husband, Tony, step-daughter Danielle Johnson (Billy Wright), grandson Damien Johnson and granddaughter Emmy Wright, parents David and Linda Dewar and Eleanor and Craig Stuberg, brother Jason (Katie) Dewar, sisters Kimberly (Allen) Anderson, Traci (Curt) Berg, Heidi (Nathan) Knudsen, and Lorrie (Gene) Hastings, also many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding her in death were grandparents James and Lorrayne Dewar and Laverne and Doris Staples. Success To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson This was the motto that Lori lived by. Her hope was that she had made a difference in someone’s life.
