Louise E. Beasley

On December 19th, 2023 our beautiful angel Louise Beasley left this earth at the Penrose St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, Co peacefully with loved ones surrounding her. She was born April 12th, 1940 in Limon, Colorado to Helen Elizabeth (Winterowd) Cook and Merle Theron Cook. As a child she grew up in Florissant and Black Forest Colorado. She spent her adult life living in different areas of Colorado, working as a caregiver in Limon, Colorado. In 1994 she moved to Flagler, Colorado before she retired in 2002. Sometime in 2002 while stopping at McDonalds in Burlington, Colorado she ran into a school mate Ed Polhemus.

It was shortly after they met that they began a beautiful love story journey as lifelong friends until her passing. She enjoyed being on Ed Polhemus ranch. Enjoying picking up or dropping off cattle. Meeting new friends along the way. Enjoying get-togethers with her extended family. She enjoyed sharing her cooking and baking as well. In her spare time she planted flowers, watching her favorite cooking shows and games shows.

She leaves behind her daughter Linda (Norton) Kemp and her husband David Little of IA. Her sister Leona Banta of Colorado along with her grandchildren Derek Vick and Wife Ashley Vick of Illinois. Seth Vick and Wife Katie Vick also from Illinois. Angela Norton and husband Avery Pena, Colorado . Great Grandchildren Emma Vick, Waylon Vick, Ainsley Vick, Silas Vick, Peyton Nix, Kyle Nix, Jasmine Pena and Marcus Pena. Several Nieces and Nephews. Her favorite pet who stole her heart, a donkey name Poppy.

Preceding her in death are her children, Leonard Norton, Clifford Beasley and Mary Jane (Norton) Krogsgaard. Parents Helen and Cook and Merle Cook, Brother Lloyd Cook, sisters LaVerna Cook and Lucille Petty.

“Mom you taught me that goodness is who you are, how you treat others and how you lived. That’s beautiful just like you, Mom.”
