Luella Steele

Luella Anne Steele, 94, of Limon, Colorado passed away on September 13, 2014 at Carla’s Cluster Care. Luella was born on May 14, 1920 to Charles William and Jeannette Matilda (Johnson) Jones at Grandma Mary’s house in Hugo, Colorado. She was the oldest of nine children. Luella attended the Walks Camp School through the 8th grade. Luella married Cleo Steele on July 16, 1938 and the couple was blessed with one son Larry. She loved being a homemaker and caring for her family. She has lived in Hugo and Limon for 94 years combined. Luella was a faithful member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Limon, Colorado. Luella was preceded in death by her father and mother, her beloved husband, Cleo, brothers; Robert Jones, Charles William Jones, John A. Jones, sisters; Cora Lombardi and Alice Mochetti. She is survived by her son Larry and his wife Marlene Steele of Limon, Colorado, brother, Michael Lee Jones and sisters; Maybelle Templeton and Glenola Del Vecchio along with three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great – great grandchild.
