Margaret Shy

Margaret Shy, of Agate, CO passed away November 11, 2009 in Simla, CO. Margaret was born February 22, 1927 to George & Marie Miller in Mott, ND. On June 5, 1955 Margaret married Isaac “Ike” Shy in Mott, ND. The couple was blessed with four sons Leo, Dennis, Curtis and William. The family resided in Agate, CO for most of their married life. Margaret believed in education and devoted her life to teaching. She had many interests, including reading. She enjoyed puzzles, knitting clothes and visiting with friends throughout the community. She had quite a collection of newspapers. Margaret took pleasure in playing the piano and loved to dance. She enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk Show. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her three brothers; Joseph Miller, Donald Miller, and Patrick Miller and one grandchild; JD Shy. Margaret is survived by her children; Leo (Mary) Shy of Lamar, CO, Dennis (Joanie) Shy of Agate, CO, Curtis Shy of Aurora, CO, and William Shy of Glendale, CA; her grandchildren; Randy and Tyler Shy, Denise (Casey) Craven; her great grandchildren; Wade and Becca Shy; and one sister Helen Swanson of Mile City, MT
