Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident, Maria Luisa Baeza passed away on October 5, 2013 at the St. Anthonys Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. She was 77 years old.
Maria was born on August 19, 1936 to Teodoro Baeza Gutierrez and Rita Sanchez in Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was one of seven children born to this union. She attended school up through the 3rd grade. In June of 1957, she married Angel Baeza Carrasco. To this union six children were born.
She had many hobbies, playing bingo, cooking, baking, and sewing. She also enjoyed participating in activities at Grace Manor Care Center. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the St. Catherines Catholic Church.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one brother.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Mary Baeza of Mexico, Rita Mandis and Richard Helpingstine of Burlington, Colorado, Maggie Reyes and her husband Fernando of Grand Junction, Colorado, Miguel Baeza and his wife Heather of Burlington, Colorado, Carmen Cereceres and her husband Jorge of Denver, Colorado, Marina Marroquin of Aurora, Colorado; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers Pablo Baeza Sanchez of New Mexico, Teodoro Baeza and his wife Sylvia of Amarillo, Texas and two sisters Augustina Paz and her husband Gilberto of Mexico and Manuela Rodriguez of New Mexico.
