ALongtime Limon resident Marjorie Adeline Hobson passed away January 1, 2007 at the Garden of the Godâs Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was 76 years old.
Marjorie was born on December 08, 1930 to Sigvald and Vilda (Geoffroy) Peterson in Dodge City, KS, the second of five children. While growing up, she loved animals and was involved in 4-H. As young girls, she and her cousin Wanda were known as the giggling twins. Marjorie graduated from Dodge City Kansas High School in 1948 and soon after the family moved south of Limon.
Marjorie married L.N. Hobson in 1950 and to this union two sons were born, Jerry Wayne and Terry Lee. She spent most of her adult life in the Limon area.
Margie, as she was well known as, was a vital, active woman in her younger years. She could make a piano sing and had a wonderful laugh and great sense of humor. Marjorie loved the Lord and was a member of the Mennonite Church.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Alice Carmen; and one granddaughter, Summer Honey Hobson.
Marjorie is survived by her two sons; Jerry Wayne Hobson of Limon, CO and Terry Lee (Janet) Hobson of Genoa, CO. She is also survived by three brothers; Virgil (Helen) Peterson of Watkins, CO, Arlo (Caron Wetter) Peterson of Limon, CO and Galen (Gloria) Peterson of Alamosa, CO, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Marjorie will be held Friday, January 05, 2007 at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, CO with interment following at Pershing Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 04, 2007 from 1-4 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made in Marjorieâs name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and left at the Love Funeral Home in Limon.
