Marjorie Smith

Biography Burlington, Colorado resident Marjorie L. Smith passed away on July 16, 2014 at the Grace Manor Care Center in Burlington, Colorado. She was 74 years old. Marjorie was born on February 5, 1940 to Linden and Lillian (Audrey) Thompson in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. She was one of four children born to this union. She attended school through the 9th grade. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She loved coloring the big velvet posters. Everybody enjoyed holidays with her, she made the best candy. She crocheted, and enjoyed the old time game shows on TV. She was passionate about Miss America Pageants; she would actually keep notes during the show, if her notes and opinion didn’t add up with what the judges thought then clearly they didn’t know what they’re doing. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Ron and Jerry Thompson, and one grandson Linden Leatherman. She is survived by her children; Alan Hanson of CA, Vicki Camilo of NV, Shari (Steve) Dow of NV and Debra (Scott) Crouse of Burlington, CO. Also surviving her is one sister, Patricia Gifford of NV, five grandchildren and seven and a half great grandchildren.
