Mark A. Turner

Cheyenne Wells, Colorado resident, Mark A. Turner passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 10, 2018.  He was 73 year old.

Mark was born on June 7, 1945 to Majorie Priscilla (Mumford) and Melvin A. Turner in Denver, Colorado.  He was one of five children born to this union.

He attended school in Wheatridge, Colorado and graduated from Wheatridge High School in 1963 and then continued his education attending Rock Mount Bible College in Longmont, Colorado.

Mark married Susan Painter and two children were born to this union; Brent and Lynette.  Later he married Debra Gettel on May 25, 1975 in Dacono, Colorado.  Debra and Mark were blessed with three children; Stephanie, Kristy, and Matthew.

He enjoyed working all his life, but he also enjoyed playing softball, bowling, taking care of his cows, woodworking, playing pinochle, gardening, traveling and southern gospel concerts when he had some free time.  His favorite times were spent time with his family.

Mark was preceded in death by his dad, Melvin Turner, his mom Majorie Turner, his sister Melanie Kaskaske, many aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Debra of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, his children; Brent Turner of Thornton, Colorado, Lynette Brady of Beorne, Texas, Stephanie (Troy) Dafoe of Keenesburg, Colorado, Kristy (Richard) Ball of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, Matthew (Rachel) Turner of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, his grandkids; James Jr. Justin and Jeremy Brady, Jerran and Amanda Dafoe, Wyatt, Conrad, Kallie Ball, Ava and Clayton Turner, great grandkids; James Lee and Jordyn Brady.  Also surviving him are his siblings; Don (Penny) Turner, Mike (Kathy) Turner and Jeff (Gayle) Turner and many nieces and nephews.
