Martha Wilcox

View Video Tribute Longtime Limon resident Martha Wilcox was called home to heaven on October 20, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Martha was born January 21, 1917 in Morgan County Colorado the daughter of Conrad and Amelia Shaffer. She attended school in Morgan County. Martha married Elmer Wilcox on July 3, 1940 in the state of Kansas. Martha and Elmer operated the Limon Cleaners for many years. They actively supported the Badger teams from Limon High School. She loved antiques and collecting glassware. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, son Bill, her parents, four brothers, four sisters and great grandchild, Samara. Martha is survived by four grandsons, Dr. Mark Davis of Lakewood, CO, Jeff (Robin) Wilcox of Lander, WY, Darren Wilcox of Ft. Collins, CO and Marty (Janel) Wilcox of Arizona. Surviving great grand children Audrey and Steven Wilcox of Lander, WY and Elery and Liam Wilcox of Arizona. Surviving sisters include Hannah Lamphere of Brush, CO and Lydia Deveny of Wakefield, MA. A funeral service for Martha Wilcox will be held Thursday ~ October 23, 2008 ~ 10:00 A.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel ~ Limon, CO.
