It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother  Mary Elizabeth Allen (Beth). 

Beth Allen, age 86,resident of Hugo, Colorado, passed away on February 8th, 2024. Beth entered in to rest at the Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo, CO on her 86th birthday, where she passed away from an unexpected aortic aneurysm. 

Beth was born on February 8th, 1938 in Jacksonville, Illinois to Charles Leroy Mason and Cassie A.L. Mason (Scoggins). When Beth was young she moved with her parents to Compton, California.  She received her GED while in California.

Beth met Earl Ace Allen in 1954 when he was stationed in Long Beach, California in The United States Marine Corp. Beth married Earl Allen approximately 1955.  Beth and Earl had their first child, Debra in 1956 and the family moved to Prairie Park, CO (west of Castle Rock).  Beth and Earl went on to have two more sons, Casey Allen and Lonnie Allen.   Beth obtained her beauty school license in 1966 from A. Helen Key Beauty School and was a beautician for many years. Later, Beth was the bookkeeper for Earl's excavating business in Pueblo West, CO.  Beth was an avid watercolor artist and member of the Pueblo Art Guild for many years. 

Beth moved to Hugo, CO in 2019 to be closer to her daughter, granddaughter, and great grandchildren.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband Earl on January 15th, 2000 from Cancer.  

 

Beth is survived by her three children, Debra McCardle, Hugo, CO, Casey Allen, Colorado Springs, and Lonnie Allen, Pueblo West, CO.  Grandchildren Larissa Lukins, Hugo, CO, Cassena Henning, Manhattan, KS, Dalton Allen, WA, Nikki Allen, TX, and Casssandra Allen, Amanda Allen, Jason Allen all from Pueblo, CO. Beth had several great-grandchildren and close friends.

Beth will be buried next to Earl in the Urraca Cemetery in Mosca, Colorado on Tuesday February 13th, 2024 at 11:00 am.
