Mary Leoffler

Longtime Burlington resident, Mary Ellen Leoffler passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Little Adventist Hospital in Littleton, Colorado at the age af 67. Mary was born on October 20, 1943 to John Richard and Vera Fern (Kennedy) Dallas in Goodland, Kansas. She was one of five daughters born to this union. She attended Goodland School and graduated in 1961. Mary continued her education with two years college. She was united in marriage with Al Leo Leoffler in May 1964 at Goodland, Kansas. They were blessed with three children: Daniel Richard, Marguerite (Rita) Louise, and Jerry Lee. The family moved to Burlington in 1972. A favorite pastime of hers was baking, sewing, embroidery and making quilts. Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her son Dan and Geri, Eric, Jessica and their daughter Lauren and Danielle and her fiancé Matt Alban and son Thane all of Independence, Kansas; her daughter Rita Thompson, and Allen and fiancé Kori Larrick, Ties, John and Edward all of Kingman, Kansas; and her son Jerry and Irene Leoffler, Zachary, Destiny and Cortney all of Burlington, Colorado. She also will be remember by her three sisters; Joyce Sanderson of Goodland, Kansas; Irene and Ronnie Wise of Lakewood, Colorado and Shirley and Larry Dean Wise of Liberty, Tennessee along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and one sister Joan Dallas. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
