Mary Scranton

Mary O. Scranton a long time Calhan resident went home to be with the Lord October 06, 2008 in Phoenix, AZ where she has resided for the past 6 ½ years. Mary was born on September 14, 1912 in Pueblo, CO to George and Katherine (Trojanovich) Olyejar. Mary enjoyed needlework, card games, gardening and her church activities. She was a cheerful and happy person to be around and counted her family and friends as her blessings in life. Preceding Mary in death are her parents, brothers; John, Keith, Steve, George, and Ed, sisters Anna and Adeline Kanuch. Mary is survived by her sisters Georgianna Miller of Martinsville, IN, Olga (Vince) Wallis of Seattle, WA, Kathy (Bob) Hunt of Prescott, AZ, daughter Doris and husband Jim Crain of Scottsdale, AZ, son Marvin (Dolly) Maczko of Auburn, WA, . Her grandchildren Chris of Chandler, AZ, Jason (Jennifer) of Menlo Park, CA and Janet (Vern) Baze of Auburn, WA and great grandchildren Trevor Baze, Maddy and Noah Crain and many nieces and nephews. Parasta was held at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church October 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were held October 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Calhan, CO with Father Lawrence Gaudreau officiating.
