View Video Tribute Max Richardson, 83, of Byers, CO passed away on February 17, 2009 in Aurora, CO. Max was born on April 1, 1925 in Pueblo, CO to Ray and Addie (Steinman) Richardson. Max married Evelyn Franz on November 17, 1942 in Sharon Springs, KS and they were blessed with four children. Evelyn passed away on August 23, 1973. He married Mary Middleton on March 16, 1974 in Byers, Colorado. Max was the Manager for Byers Water and Sanitation Department for several years and before that he was the Manager of Denver Elevators and the Superintendent of Arapahoe County Road and Bridge Department. Max was a member of the Masonic Lodge #152 AF & AM, and Byers Volunteer Fire Department member. He was also a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Byers. Max enjoyed watching sports, especially the Broncos, Nuggets and the New York Yankees. Max was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Evelyn and granddaughter Kimberley. Max is survived by his wife Mary Richardson of Byers, CO, children; Jerry and wife Karen Richardson of Arlington, TX, Sherry and husband Bob DeNileon of Thornton, CO, Sue and husband Chuck Bray of Grand Junction, CO, Sandy and husband Warren Moore of Brighton, CO, stepsons James Stringer of Hot Springs, SD, Richard Stringer of Northglenn, CO and step-daughter Debra Lindquist of Powell, WY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one step-grandchild and three step-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Max will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009, 10:30 A.M. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Byers, CO with burial to follow at Byers Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2009, 3-5 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home, Limon, CO. Memorials may be made to the Byers Volunteer Rescue Squad P.O. Box 267 Byers, CO 80103.
